Anger is a basic human emotion that everyone experiences. However, expressing one’s anger in a healthy manner does not come naturally, especially for children. Oftentimes, children receive the message that they should not express their anger instead of being taught how to express it in positive ways. When children lack the skills to appropriately manage their anger, it can start impacting school performance, peer relationships, family dynamics, physical health, and so on. The purpose of this group is to help children cope with everyday sources of anger and develop skills to express their feelings in healthy ways. This group will help your child explore their anger while developing assertive anger expression skills.
Who Should Attend
This group is for children ages 8 to 11 who are interested in building anger management and emotional expression skills.
This group is currently forming and does not have a set date or time. Once enough individuals are interested, a date and time will be set. This group will be one hour in length and be held on a weekly basis for a total of 10 weeks.
